How to Update Kisskh

Keep your app current so new episodes, subtitle fixes, and player improvements land as soon as they ship.

Why Updating Matters

Kisskh isn't distributed through the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store, so it doesn't update itself silently in the background the way a store-installed app would. Checking in every few weeks keeps playback stable, keeps subtitle syncing accurate on newly added episodes, and avoids the handful of bugs that get fixed in each release.

How to Check Your Current Version

  1. Open Kisskh and go to the side menu (the three-line icon in the top-left corner).
  2. Look for a Settings or About entry — the version number is listed there.
  3. Compare it against the build linked on our download page, which we keep current.

Updating on Android

Since the Android build is installed as a direct APK rather than through the Play Store, updating means downloading the newest APK and installing it over the existing app.

  1. Go to the Android download section and download the latest APK.
  2. Open the downloaded file. Android will recognize it as an update to your existing installation.
  3. Tap Install — your favorites, watch history, and settings are preserved as long as you're signed in to the same account.

You do not need to uninstall the previous version first. Installing over an existing copy keeps your saved data intact.

Updating on iOS

Because iOS installs Kisskh through a guided sideloading method rather than the App Store, updates follow the same walkthrough as the original install. Revisit the iOS setup video whenever a new build is available, and repeat the installation steps to replace the older version.

Updating on Windows

Download the latest ZIP package from the Windows download section, extract it to a new folder, and run the app from there. You can delete the older folder once you've confirmed the new version opens correctly.

Updating on Android TV, Google TV & Fire TV

If you installed Kisskh with the Downloader app, repeat the same steps from our TV installation guide using the current APK link — it installs over the existing app the same way it does on a phone. If you're using the CloudStream repository method, CloudStream typically pulls source updates automatically; no manual action is usually needed.

Signs You're Overdue for an Update

If updating doesn't resolve what you're seeing, the Troubleshooting Guide covers fixes for the most common playback and installation issues.
